Dr. Apree Clicque is a Licensed Psychologist and Licensed Chemical Dependency Counselor. She received her Bachelor of Arts in psychology from Texas A&M in 2010 and her Master of Arts in counseling from Stephen F. Austin State University. In 2020, she completed her doctorate in psychology at California Southern University, where her dissertation focused on the impact of volunteerism on PTSD, specifically related to military members transitioning to civilian life.
Known for her straightforward and goal-driven approach, Dr. Clicque's career has spanned various areas within the mental health field. Her experience includes working in an inpatient psychiatric hospital, managing hospital intake departments, and providing care in private practice and residential settings addressing both mental health and substance abuse issues. After working part-time in an intensive outpatient program while maintaining her private practice, she joined Dallas Therapeutic Services, where she continues to serve clients.
While experienced in many areas, Dr. Clicque's primary focus is working with those who have experienced trauma. She has advanced training in working with military members and first responders, as well as their families. She also specializes in working with the LGBTQ+ population, end of life issues, and body image/self-esteem concerns.
As a doctoral-level psychologist, Dr. Clicque offers comprehensive psychological evaluations, including Autism, Diagnostic, IQ, and Learning Disorder Testing. She believes that each client is the expert of their own life and experiences, and she strives to work alongside them to foster existing strengths and develop goals to meet their unique needs. In her practice, no issue is considered too small or too big to address.
